Chinese Tutor
Chinese TutorAs I travel around the area of northern Virginia, I find myself struck by the number of Chinese Tutors available to be found. As part of my search for a Chinese teacher, one of the considerations that I take into account is the availability of a full time Chinese language instructor. In the past there has been only one American School in this area, and because of its location north of Washington DC it is not only limited to foreigners, but the students that we have had from America are usually of Chinese descent. The lack of American tutors in the area has led to many young children and teenagers leaving as well, and one of the reasons for this is the availability of a Chinese tutor who can teach children of the area, helping them develop their confidence and develop their own style of language.By the time I get to Northern Virginia, a huge influx of migrants have come from China. There are hundreds of thousands of these Chinese immigrants who moved here in search of empl oyment, a better life, and a better quality of life. And a place that has great accommodation, and great food - the perfect environment for learning a new language, especially if you are looking for some independence and are tired of your corporate job. When I am working in Northern Virginia, I often find myself working with people who speak Chinese, Korean, and a mix of English and Japanese. Many of these students have either chosen a permanent home base in Northern Virginia or have moved from their home base to work and study in this area. With only one American School in the area and the fact that the population of these migrants and the children that they bring with them are so large, it means that many of these children will never have a school teacher in their home country. This means that a person who takes up a job in a school in Northern Virginia is at the mercy of the children's parents, the rules of their workplace, the weather, and the schools regulations. Also the British education system was not designed to handle all the demands of an international student, and is not designed to accommodate a huge influx of Mandarin speakers. When I lived in China, there were plenty of lessons available, and every Chinese school I went to was a wonderful experience. If I could bring that sort of environment back to my native USA, I would. So many British school children, from all backgrounds and cultural backgrounds will be able to thrive in Northern Virginia. So when you are looking for a Chinese tutor you need to look at the whole picture, the education that are offered, the requirements of a particular place, and the language. I think that Northern Virginia can offer you a wonderful chance to learn a new language and experience a culture that will help you develop your own style and enhance your learning experience.
